Fluorosilicone Oring

FVMQ

Shore A Description:

The hardness of rubber compounds is measured by the Shore A durometer; the higher the durometer, the harder the compound. Softer compounds stretch easier and seal better on rough surfaces. Harder compounds offer greater abrasion resistance and resistance to extrusion.

60 Shore A is softer than 70

70 Shore A is the standard

90 Short A is very stiff

Specs:

Good low/high temperature resistance with excellent resistance to petroleum oils and fuels.

Material:

FVMQ (Fluorosilicon)

Standard Service Temperature: -80°F - +350°F/400°F

Application:

Petroleum Oils and Fuels, Dry Heat/Oil

Used in aerospace applications for fuel systems and systems requiring resistance to diester base lubricants to 350°F. Due to limited strength and abrasion resistance they are generally recommended for static applications only.

Not Compatible With: Phosphate Esters, Ketones, Brake Fluids
